The Endcliffe Village Development is a £163 million pound project to cater for 4,500 students for the University of Sheffield. Beach began work on site in 2007 for Bovis Lend Lease. Bovis are one of the worlds leading project management and construction companies operating in more than 30 countries worldwide and employing over 8,500 people. The project involved various types of signage such as wayfinding, traffic, building identity and an internally illuminated totem. The internal directory signs were all tactile to comply with DDA regulations. They involved approximately 10,000 in house profile cut letters. Also two 4.5 ton stone monoliths were used to identify The Edge, reflecting the Derbyshire theme. Phase 4 has now begun and is due to be completed later this year.
